Armenia has not joined any international organization together with Nagorno Karabakh, Armenian Minister of Economy Karen Chshmarityan told reporters at the National Assembly in response to the question as to whether a customs checkpoint could be established between Armenia and Nagorno Karabakh.
The Minister refrained from commenting on the officials statements on the issue voiced in Astana and after that, but noted that he does not consider the establishment of a customs checkpoint possible.
The Minister said nothing will change after Armenia joins the Eurasian Economic Union. “The products made in Nagorno Karabakh will freely move to WTO and EU markets. This has never been a problem. Why are we now worried about statements by a President of a third or fourth country?” the Minister said.
