President Sargsyan sends telegram of condolences on demise of Alicia Ghiragossian

President Serzh Sargsyan sent a telegram of condolences on the occasion of the prominent poetess Alicia Ghiragossian’s demise. The telegram sent to the family of the poetess particularly reads:

“With great sorrow I learned the demise of the celebrated poetess Alicia Ghiragossian.

Although Alicia was born and lived abroad, her wonderful poems made her widely beloved and popular in her homeland. For years, her sentimental and philosophical poems have not only appeared on various stages of Armenia but also have come out of ordinary people’s mouths.

Indeed, it is a tragedy to lose such a poetess but her lyrics will always remain as an evidence of her immortality.

I express my deepest condolences and share the pain of Alicia’s relatives, friends and many thousand readers.”
