Cafesjian Center for the Arts to celebrates the International Museum Day and Museum Night

On May 17, 2014 the Cafesjian Center for the Arts will join the international museum community worldwide to celebrate the Museum Night event, by opening its galleries to the public for free from 10:00 till midnight.

The major event for the Museum Night is the opening of a unique exhibition Transforming Reality: Italian Design Innovation and Fantasy inEagle Gallery, featuring a selection of Italian decorative arts pieces from the Gerard L. Cafesjian Collection, created by internationally renowned design studios and artists, such as Gaetano Pesce, Andrea Branzi, Piero Fornasetti and others. The visitors will also have a unique opportunity to attend the two recently opened exhibitions Libenský Brychtová: Light through Space in Gallery One and Friedensreich Hundertwasser: Regentag in Sasuntsi David Garden Gallery.

The documentary Hundertwassers Regentag by Peter Schamoni, which reveals the fascinating portrait of the famous Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser will be screened at the Special Events Auditorium at 14:00 and 16:00.
