On 12 May Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan partook in the opening ceremony of the conference dedicated to the International Day of Nurses held at the Stepanakert Culture and Youth palace, NKR President’s Press Office reported.
In his speech the President stressed the importance of organization of such an event in Artsakh, which has already become a good tradition and will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the development of the republic’s healthcare sector.
According to Bako Sahakyan, healthcare is among the key strategic branches of the country’s economy and that is why large-scale projects aimed at ensuring qualitative medical service and continuous improvement of its level have been implemented in this filed.
The President emphasized the role of the medical personnel, particularly the nurses in this process, stressing that along with professional skills they must also have high human qualities and serve as a link between doctors and patients.
