Lithuania’s Minister of National Defense visits Tsitsernakaberd

The delegation headed by Juozas Olekas, Lithuania’s Minister of National Defense, visited the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial to the Armenian Genocide victims.

Members of the delegation laid wreaths and flowers at the Genocide Memorial and the eternal fire and honored the memory of the victims with a minute of silence.

Accompanied by Director of the Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum Institute (AGMI), the delegation toured the newly constructed building of the Museum, where the temporary exhibition “The First World War: Allies, Images and Massacres” exhibition is on display.

Remind that the Lithuanian Parliament adopted a resolution on December 15, 2005 condemning the Armenian Genocide, in which it calls on Turkey to recognize and accept the fact.
