President Serzh Sargsyan has addressed a congratulatory message to the Yezidi community of Armenia on the occasion of Malake Taus. The message reads:
“Dear representatives of Armenia’s Yezidi community,
I cordially congratulate you on the occasion of New Year – Malake Taus.
For centuries, Armenian and Yezidi peoples have been together both in times of happiness and troubles. Our predecessors have fortified these unity and friendship on the battle field as well. Today we, all the Armenian citizens enjoying equal rights, build our country – our common home – and your patriotic contribution to that is considerable.
Let New Year bring you and your families successes affording you an opportunity to develop and progress and let our peoples’ unbreakable friendship be stronger.”
