Putin submits Russian-Armenian military deal for ratification by State Duma

Russian President Vladimir Putin submitted to the State Duma for ratification the Agreement between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Armenia on Developing Military-Technical Cooperation, Kremlin’s Press Service reports.

The Agreement was signed in Yerevan on June 25, 2013.

The Agreement addresses procedures for the sides to supply military products with the aim of equipping the sides’ national armed forces, military formations, law enforcement agencies and special services.

The agreement envisages establishment of favorable conditions for the cooperation of the parties in the development, production, exploitation, repairing and modernization, as well as recycling of weapons and military equipment.

The Armenian National Assembly voted to ratify the agreement in December 2013.
