The Armenian delegation will not attend the regular sitting of the Committee of the Heads of General Staff of the Armed Forces of CIS participating states to be held in Azerbaijan, Spokesman for the Ministry of Defense Artsrun Hovhannisyan told Public Radio of Armenia.
“The Ministry of Defense planned to send a delegation to Baku with a view of creating confidence-building measures in the region. Members of the Armenian delegation arrived in Moscow on April 7, but the flight to Baku was canceled because the host side failed to confirm the willingness to provide security guarantees to the Armenian delegates,” the Spokesman said.
