There will be essential changes in the government, President says

There will be essential changes in the government, President Serzh Sargsyan said during the consultations at the Central Bank of Armenia, President’s Press Office reported.

“I think the new government should be able to ensure economic growth, continuation of reforms. It must restore the trust of our citizens in the reforms and its activity. These are the minimum issues the new government should be able to solve. I think there will be essential changes in the new government. We need a fresh look at the existing problems,” the President said.

Serzh Sargsyan said Tigran Sargsyan’s resignation was a true resignation, not coercion. “Six years is a long term for a Prime Minister. It is the heaviest, the most thankless job. I worked as Prime Minister for a short term, but it was enough to feel the whole difficulty of the work. Unfortunately, this is the situation. I think, however, that in some 20 years it will be easier to work,” the President said.
