Karabakh settlement high on the agenda of French President’s visit to Armenia, Azerbaijan

French President Francois Hollande’s official visit to the South Caucasus next month is of great political importance, French Ambassador to Azerbaijan Pascal Meunier told reporters.

“One of the main goals of President Hollande’s visit is to support a peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The settlement of this conflict will open up great opportunities for both sides,” the Ambassador said, Regnum agency reports.

“The second aim is to show that this region is sovereign and can determine its future itself. We support peace and friendship between the countries of the region,” he said.
