The delegation of Armenian lawmakers will meet with Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad today, MP Samvel Farmanyan said in Facebook post.
“We are already in Damascus. Soon we’ll meet with President Bashar Al-Assad to discuss the issues of Syrian Armenians and the future of Kessab,” he wrote.
“We are grateful to the friendly Syrian people for supporting out brothers and sisters, who consider Syria their Motherland, at most difficult periods in history. We are hopeful that through political dialogue it will be possible to reach peace and return to normal life,” Farmanyan said.
