No progress has been registered in the process of settlement of the Artsakh issue only as a result of the position of the Azerbaijani side, political scientist Narek Galstyan told a press conference today. He’s confident, however, that the OSCE is eager to solve the issue and the OSCE Minsk Group’s activity has somewhat intensified over the past year.

“There is no serious breakthrough in the Arsakh issue at this point and this is the result of Azerbaijan’s position,” he said.

The political scientist noted at the same time that the Ukrainian developments could have a negative impact on the Karabakh settlement process, as there may be disagreements between the Co-Chairs against the background of the Ukrainian events.

Narek Galstyan does not think, however, that Russia will make Armenia recognize the independence of the Crimea.
