ANCA urges suspension of US military aid to Azerbaijan

The Armenian National Committee of America urges the Congress to suspend U.S. military aid to Azerbaijan.

“Azerbaijan’s most recent unprovoked killing, just a few hours ago, of yet another Armenian, Karen G. Galstyan (20), along the Nagorno Karabakh border underscores the urgent need for our Congress to suspend U.S. military aid until Baku cease its attacks, fully renounces violence, and commits to the peaceful resolution of regional conflicts,” ANCA said in a Facebook post.

”This fatal cross-border sniper assault is the Azerbaijani military’s second killing of an Armenian in a week that saw a dramatic escalation of Baku’s war rhetoric and the wounding of a 16 year-old Armenian girl by an Azerbaijani sniper.”

ANCA urges to call Members of the U.S. House and Senate panels responsible for writing the Fiscal Year 2015 bill to ask them to eliminate American aid to the Azerbaijani military.
