“The situation at the borders of Armenia and Artsakh is under control,” Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohayan said at the government sitting today. He added that there is no need for panic, as the servicemen properly carry out their military duty. The statement comes after the recent acts of sabotage by the Azerbaijani armed forces, which claimed the life of an Armenian sergeant.

“There is some tension at the Azerbaijani military positions after the Armenian side repulsed the unsuccessful subversive attempts by the Azeri side thanks to the skillful actions of Armen Hovhannisyan, as the rival is afraid we may respond,” Ohanyan said.

The Minister reminded that the Armenian side refrains from responding to irregular shots, and returns fire only in case of targeted and sniper shooting.
