Armenian President, US Deputy Assistant Secretary discuss bilateral, international issues

President Serzh Sargsyan received today Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs at the US Department of State Eric Rubin, President’s Press Office reports.

The President welcomed the guest and stressed the importance of his visit from the viewpoint of maintaining comprehensive and multifaceted dialogue between Armenia and United States.

The parties hailed the current high level of relations between Armenia and US. The interlocutors expressed readiness to further these relations and expand cooperation between the two countries which, according to the parties, holds considerable potential.

At the meeting discussed were recent developments in the Nagorno Karabakh peace process. President Serzh Sargsyan and Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs exchanged  views on a number of regional and international issues, as well.
