Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan convoked a meeting of the NKR Security Council. Issues related to the draft of the NKR food security conception and the 2013 Telethon were included in the agenda of the meeting, Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President reported.
The President presented the course and results of the telethon and gave concrete assignment to the state’s government for appropriate implementation of the Vardenis-Martakert highway’s construction.
NKR prime-minister, deputy prime-minister, minister of agriculture and chairman of the NKR National Statistical Service delivered reports on the draft of the NKR food security conseption.
In his speech the Head of the State considered food security among the crucial components of the country’s security, noting its special importance for Artsakh taking into consideration the existence of many military-political factors.
The Head of the State approved the draft food security conception, requesting the Security Council Secretary start the approval process of the document according to the established procedure and with corresponding assignments.
