Yerevan has been chosen as the host of the 2015 spring session of the European Students Union (ESU). The European Students’ Union (ESU) is an umbrella organization of 47 National Unions of Students from 39 countries, the Armenian National Student’Association reports.
Armenia and Israel had bid for hoisting the event. Israel’s candidacy was supported by countries of Black Sea Countries, while Armenia’s bid was supported by countries from Central, Western and Northern Europe.
As a result Armenia received 41 votes in a secret ballot against Israel’s 26.
