Russian President Vladimir Putin has arrived in Armenia today for a state visit at the invitation of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan.
After the official welcome ceremony at Gyumri’s Shirak Airport, Presidents Sargsyan and Putin attended the opening ceremony of the second Armenian-Russian Inter-Regional Forum on “Russia-Armenia: The Customs Union.” Both Presidents offered opening remarks.
Before that Serzh Sargsyan and Vladimir Putin attended an exhibition presenting the regions of Armenia and Russia.
At the State Drama Theatre of Gyumri the Presidents followed the ceremony of commissioning of the 5th power unit of Hrazdan Thermal Power Plant through an on-line transmission.
Also the Presidents of Armenia and Russia participated in the ceremony of canceling a stamp dedicated to the Sochi Olympics.
