The FourFourTwo football magazine has published the ranking of Top 100 Players in the World 2013. Midfielder of the Armenian national team and Borussia Dortmund Henrikh Mkhitaryan is ranked 66th in the list.
“The Armenians are coming. Mkhitaryan is spearheading a rapidly improving footballing nation in style, wowing English fans with a goal against Arsenal and filling the big boots of Mario Gotze nicely with three goals and five assists in his first 10 Bundesliga games,” the magazine writes.
He’s currently learning German – his sixth language.
The Armenian playmaker was star of his nation’s 2014 World Cup qualifying campaign, scoring three and assisting two of their 12 goals, attempting 416 passes and 20 tackles – both team-highs.
