Armenian Ministers attend Georgian President’s inauguration

On November 17 Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian and Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Armen Movsisyan participated in the inauguration ceremony of Georgia’s newly elected President Georgy Margvelashvili.

After the solemn ceremony Georgy Margvelashvili received the Armenian Ministers. Edward Nalbandian conveyed the congratulations of the Armenian President, Serzh Sargsyan, and an invitation to visit Armenia.

Georgy Margvelashvili hailed the high-level relations between Armenia and Georgia, expressing confidence that it’s possible to further deepen and reinforce the bilateral cooperation through joint efforts.

The interlocutors discussed a wide range of issues related to Armenian-Georgian bilateral relations, the economic cooperation, the forthcoming sitting of the Inter-governmental Commission, the inter-parliamentary cooperation and Georgian Armenians.

Georgy Margvelashvili asked to convey his warm greetings to President Serzh Sargsyan.

The same day Edward Nalbandian and Armen Movsisyan met with Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili. During the meeting reference was made to the process of implementation of the agreements reached between the leaders of the two countries.

Armenian and Georgian Foreign Ministers Edward Nalbandian and Maya Panjikidze exchanged views on a number of issues on the agenda of Armenian-Georgian relations.
