Raymond Pauls awarded Armenia’s Order of Honor

President Serzh Sargsyan received famous Latvian composer and pianist, USSR People’s Artist Raymon Pauls, President’s Press Office reported.

The President welcomed the renowned composer in Armenia and hailed his dedicated service to culture. He noted that for decades Raymond Pauls’s music has educated millions of people, including thousands of our compatriots who even today receive warmly the famous musician and have been greatly impressed by his concert in Yerevan.

At the meeting, President Serzh Sargsyan decorated Raymond Pauls with the Order of Honor for his contribution to the strengthening and development of the Armenian-Latvian cultural ties and for significant input to the world music art. The President congratulated the celebrated composer on receiving the RA high state award and wished him new success.
