Air Armenia has taken delivery of a first ex-Orenair (R2, Orenburg) B737-500 (msn 26297) to be registered EK-73797 in Armenia shortly, reports ch-aviation.ch.
It plans to use the leased 131 seat aircraft to launch scheduled services from Yerevan to several destinations in Russia from October 27.
Air Armenia has been in business since 2003 but has so far mainly concentrated on cargo services with its fleet of An-12s and Il-76s.
