On October 7 Armenian Deputy Defense Minister David Tonoyan received the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross delegation to Armenia, Mr. Lorenzo Caraffi, who is completing his mission in our country, and the new head of ICRC mission Sara Eprekht.
Issues related to bilateral cooperation, the ICRC activity in frontline regions were discussed. Reference was made to the issue of prisoners of war.
The Armenian Deputy Defense Minister urged the ICRC representatives to work more actively on issues related to the return of Armenian citizen Hakob Injughulyan and visit the later more frequently.
Mr. Tonoyan highly appreciated Mr. Caraffi’s activity during his tenure in office and wished productive work to the newly appointed head of ICTC mission.
