Sitting of the CSTO Intergovernmental Commission on Military-Technical Cooperation held in Yerevan

The 11th sitting of the CSTO Intergovernmental Commission on Military-Technical Cooperation was held in Yerevan. Delegations from Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan participated in the sitting.

The main focus was on the raise of efficiency of the further military-economic and military-technical cooperation.

“Issues of the military-industrial and military-technical spheres, cooperation between military production enterprises and creation of joint ventures is in the spotlight of our authorities,” Secretary of the Armenian National Security Council Arthur Baghdasaryan said in his opening remarks.

CSTO Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha said the importance of military-technical cooperation is growing as an important component of cooperation in the field of security. He said one of the main directions of cooperation will be the establishment of service centers for military equipment.
