NKR President meets Primate of the Venezuelan Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church

On 30 September President of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan received Primate of the Venezuelan Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Komitas Ohanyan.

Various issues related to the state-church ties, socioeconomic situation in Artsakh and regional trends were discussed during the meeting.

President Sahakyan underlined the important role the Armenian Apostolic Church plays in preserving the Armenian national identity in the Diaspora, noting that the church has had a great contribution in supporting Artsakh.

The sides emphasized the need of continuous deepening of the state-church interrelations, considering it among the most important bases of the Armenia-Artsakh-Diaspora trinity.

Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan partook in the meeting, Central Information Department if the Office of the NKR President reported.
