Kuwait provides $100,000 in aid to Syrian Armenians, pledges support for New Aleppo project

The “Coordination Center for Syrian Armenians’ Issues” NGO and the Embassy of Kuwait in Armenia signed an agreement today, under which the State of Kuwait will provide $100,000 in aid to Syrian Armenians.

The money will be allocated to support educational programs for Syrian Armenians currently residing in Armenia, Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan said.

Kuwait’s Ambassador to Armenia Bassam Mohammed Al-Qabandi thanked Minister Hakobyan for cooperation and said there are new programs ahead. “We’ll support the New Aleppo project, as well,” he said.
