President Serzh Sargsyan has nominated Military Prosecutor Gevorg Kostanyan for the position of Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia.
The President has forwarded the proposal to the National Assembly, Head of the Public Relations Department of the National Assembly Gohar Poghosyan has confirmed.
In line with RA Constitution, the Prosecutor General is appointed by the National Assembly upon the recommendation of the President of the Republic for a term of six years.
