Capital Cities fronted by Armenian-American Sebu Simonian wins MTV Video Music Award

The pop sensation Capital Cities fronted by Armenian-American artist Sebu Simonian, won an MTV Video Music Award Sunday night for Best Visual Effects for the group’s “Safe and Sound” video, Asbarez reported.

Capital Cities bested fellow nominees Duck Sauce, Flying Lotus, Skrillex (featuring The Doors), as well as The Weeknd.

Now in its 16th week on the Billboard Hot 100 charts, their latest single “Safe and Sound” still sits in the top 10, for the week ending August 31.

According to an article on Yahoo’s Music page, the song has sold over one million digital units.
