Armenian Ambassador to Russia Oleg Yesayan met with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin in Moscow today.
The parties discussed urgent issues of bilateral relations, cooperation between the Foreign Ministries of the two countries.
The interlocutors dwelt on the accident in Podolsk involving Armenian citizen Hrachya Harutyunyan, which claimed the lives of 18 people and left more than 30 injured, Press Service of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.
The Armenian Ambassador offered his condolences on the tragedy. The Russian side confirmed that an unbiased investigation would be conducted with full respect for the rights of the convict.
The parties expressed concern over the reproachful attempts to speculate on the tragedy to inflame sentiments countering the spirit of Russian-Armenian friendship.
