Armenian midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan scored his second goal for Borussia Dortmund in a friendly win over FC Luzern on Tuesday, but limped from the field after sustaining the blow.
Borussia Dortmund midfielder Mkhitaryan is set to undergo a scan on Wednesday to assess the extent of an ankle injury.
Manager Juergen Klopp is not yet aware of the severity of the problem.
“He has a bandaged ankle,” he told the club’s official website. “Now we have to wait and see.”
