
Borussia Dortmund will have to do without midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan in he coming weeks.
The Armenia international faces around four weeks on the sidelines after suffering a partial tear to the ligament in his right ankle.
Mkhitaryan went over on his ankle in Tuesday’s 4-1 friendly win against Swiss outfit FC Luzern and will now miss the Yellow-Blacks’ DFB Supercup clash with FC Bayern Munich on 27 July as well as their first-round German Cup trip to SV Wilhelmshaven six days later, bundesliga.com.
Club doctor Dr. Markus Braun is hopeful the 24-year-old will be fit in time for Dortmund’s first home game of the season against newcomers Eintracht Braunschweig on 18 August, however.
