Lilit Harutyunyan asks relevant structures and officials to provide support to her father Hrachya Harutyunyan, accused of violating traffic rules after the terrible accident near Moscow on July 13 that claimed the lives of 18 people.

“It was a painful accident, and my father was guilty of it. We all understand this. I regret the loss of human lives, but I also know that my father is in a hard condition now,” Lilit Harutyunyan said. She considers that her father was also a victim in this tragedy. She’s confident her father needs every kind of assistance – from psychological to legal.

“A person, who defended the Motherland, cannot live peacefully after causing the death of 18. I can imagine his condition and simply ask everyone to be conscientious and fair,” she told a press conference today.

Hrachya Harutyunyan has a 20-year experience of driving lorries, and has never got into accidents. Harutyunyan had left for Russia a few months ago to earn money for his son’s gravestone.

Harutyunyan’s family possesses no information about the company he worked at. They learnt about the accident from their relatives in Moscow.
