Sargsyan congratulates Hollande on the National Day of France

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan sent a congratulatory message to the President of France, Francois Hollande, on the occasion of the National Day of France – the Bastille Day.

Distinguished Mr. President,

I cordially congratulate you and the friendly people of France on the occasion of the National Holiday – July 14.

I am confident the current high-level political dialogue between Armenia and France based on the traditions of friendship, our bilateral ties and close cooperation in the framework of the European and international structures, dynamic interaction established in different areas, as well as interparliamentary and robust decentralized cooperation will become even stronger.

I once again thank you for the persistent efforts which France exercised as an OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair toward the peaceful resolution of the Nagorno Karabakh problem, bolstering of security, stability and cooperation in our region. The Joint Statement made by you and Presidents of the Russian Federation and the United States on June 18 in Enniskillen, is yet another manifestation of these efforts.

Distinguished Mr. President,

I recall with special warmth our meeting in Paris last November, and I am fondly looking forward to hosting you on a state visit in Armenia. I am confident that the visit will give a new impetus to the strengthening of the Armenian-French relations and deepening of friendship between our peoples.

I once again congratulate you on the occasion of the National Holiday of France. I wish you success as well as prosperity to the friendly people of France.

Please accept, distinguished Mr. President, the assurances of my highest consideration.
