The great violist Kim Kashkashian will be performing with pianist Peter Nagy at the Armenian Holy Vortvots Vorodman Church in Kumkapi district of Istanbul, teh Hurriyet Daily News reports.
The concert features Beethoven’s variations, Schumann, Soviet composer Dmitri Shostakovich and Armenian composer Komitas Vardapet.
With this concert, the Holy Vortvots Vorodman Church will be hosting a festival concert for the first time following its recent renovation.
Grammy-award winning Armenian-American violist Kashkashian is known as much for her music as for her ability to weave marvelous stories with her playing.
The concert will be held tonight at the Holy Vortvots Vorodman Church in Kumkapi.
