President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Jean Claude Mignon has expressed willingness to discuss the situation around Nagorno Karabakh with the Armenian and Azerbaijani delegations.
“I would like to use the opportunity to discuss the issue with Armenian and Azerbaijani delegations,” Mignon told a press conference without going into details about the timing of the meeting.
Mignon reminded about the activities of the PACE sub-committee on Nagorno Karabakh. He noted also that the “Madrid Principles proposed by the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs comprise the basis for the work in that direction.”
Earlier the PACE President had urged to intensify the negotiations on the settlement of the Karabakh conflict within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group.
