Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan attended the opening of the new premises of the mLab ECA regional mobile solutions laboratory in Yerevan.
Established in 2011, the mLab ECA laboratory has been promoting the introduction of innovations in mobile communication and stable regional development. The program is being implemented by the Enterprise Incubator Foundation with the support of the Armenian Government, the World Bank, the Government of Finland and the Nokia Company.
Nokia has established five similar mobile laboratories in the world. The one in Armenia covers the region of Eastern Europe, the South Caucasus and Central Asia. Two similar laboratories operate in Africa and another two in Asia.
Throughout its activity the mLab has contributed to the formation of more than 20 teams/companies, creation of 70 mobile applications for Android, iOS and Windows Phone with investments exceeding $100 thousand.
