Herman Van Rompuy: The Karabakh conflict is resolvable

The Karabakh conflict was discussed at the 31st EU-Russia Summit in Yekaterinburg.

“We call for continued engagement and co-operation on Nagorno-Karabakh in support of the existing negotiating processes,” President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy stated after the summit.

The principles of comprehensive settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict should be agreed upon now, Herman Van Rompuy said, AzerNews reports, quoting Russia 24 Channel.

“This conflict is resolvable, and we will collaborate with Russia on the solution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within the framework of the existing negotiation mechanisms,” Rompuy said at a joint conference following the EU-Russia summit.
