In accordance with Article 74 of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan presented the Government program to the Parliament. This is the second time the Prime Minister presents the program to the National Assembly of 5th convocation.
The Prime Minister said the program had been worked out based on the national security priorities, the election platforms of the President of the Republic of Armenia, the Republican Party of Armenia and Orinats Yerkir Party.
According to Tigran Sargsyan, the period following the elections is the most favorable for implementation of real and radical reforms. He added that the government targets three main directions – unemployment, migration and poverty.
“In the near future we’ll create high-wage jobs thanks to the full implementation of the export-oriented industrial policy, introduce the accumulated pension system, rise the salaries, ensure high quality and accessibility of education,” the Prime Minister said.
This is a revolution, we’ll carry out in our mentality, not in the squares and streets, Tigran Sargsyan said, adding that the program requires a huge work and cooperation with the opposition forces and the civil society.
