ArmRusGasprom CJSC and the “TransGas” Ltd. have applied to the Public Services Regulatory Commission, suggesting to raise the gas fee from 132 000 to 221 000 AMD per 1,000 cubic meters.
It also suggested a special formula by which a new natural gas tariff will be calculated for users consuming more than 10,000 cubic meters per month, which also takes into account the current U.S. dollar exchange rates and other costs.
According to the basic component of the formula, the rise may amount to over 60 percent.
