President of Belarus due in Armenia

At the invitation of President Serzh Sargsyan, the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko is arriving in Armenia today for an official visit.

The official ceremony of welcoming at the Presidential Palace will be followed by a private meeting of the Presidents of the two countries as well as negotiations in the extended format with the participation of the official delegations. After negotiations, the parties will sign documents on the development and deepening of cooperation between Armenia and Belarus in a number of areas. Presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Alexander Lukashenko will make a joint statement for the representatives of the mass media.

In the framework of his official visit, the President of Belarus will visit the Genocide Memorial to pay tribute to the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide.

In the evening, President Serzh Sargsyan will host an official dinner in honor of the President of Belarus and his delegation.

On May 14, President Lukashenko will visit the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant and will participate in the inauguration of the Armenian-Belarus Trade Center. Later, the Presidents of Armenia and Belarus will attend the ceremony of consecration of the newly constructed Saint John the Baptist Church in Abovian city.
