The newly appointed Ambassador of Finland to Armenia Christer Mickelson presented the copies of his credentials to Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.
Congratulating the Ambassador on appointment, Edward Nalbandian wished him success in his mission and voiced hope that his activity would contribute to the development of Armenian-Finnish cooperation.
The Minister added that Armenia is interested in developing the political dialogue with Finland through high-level reciprocal visits, consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries and parliamentary diplomacy.
The parties stressed the necessity of intensifying cooperation and expanding the legal framework.
Ambassador Mickelson said Finland attached importance to the development of comprehensive cooperation with Armenia and the reciprocal visits within the framework of the EU Eastern Partnership Program.
During the meeting the interlocutors referred to a number of regional and international issues.
