Armenia to open Embassies in Sweden, Mexico and Indonesia

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan signed decrees on the opening of the Embassies of the Republic of Armenia in Mexico, Sweden and Indonesia, President’s Press Office reported.

The Armenian Government approved the draft decrees of the President at a sitting on March 28.

The diplomatic relations between Armenia and Sweden have intensified over the past 7-8 years. Sweden is the only Scandinavian county to recognize the Armenian Genocide on the parliamentary level.

The Embassy in Mexico will provide an opportunity to extend the diplomatic coverage to the northern and north-eastern parts of North America, Central America and the Caribbean region.

As for Indonesia, that country is located in South-Eastern Asia, which is one of the most dynamically developing regions in the world.
