The number of cyber crimes increases parallel to the development of Information Technologies. The most widespread cyber crime in Armenia is the extortion, mostly through the popular social network odnoklassniki.ru, Andrey Yashchyan, representative of RA Police Department for Fight against Cyber Crimes Andrey Yashchyan told reporters today.
According to him, there are other types of crime, which cause greater financial losses. Some Armenian businessmen perform various operations through e-mail, transfer money through Internet, which is risky, he said.
Specialists call to be wary when buying something on the web. They urge to chose a complex password and not trust it to anyone.
