Prospects of Armenian-Korean economic cooperation to be discussed in Yerevan

On 15 April, Yerevan Bryusov State Linguistic University jointly with the Korean Foundation for the first time in Armenia organizes “Future Prospects of the Armenian-Korean Economic Cooperation” international conference.

The conference aims at raising the awareness of the Armenian people on the economic development of South Korea, presenting the past as well as the current situation of the Armenian-Korean economic relations and discussing the prospects of the future cooperation between the two countries.

The opening speeches of the conference will be given by Mr. Ashot Vonskanyan, Head of the Asia-Pacific and Africa Department of MFA, Mrs. Gayane Gasparyan, YSLU Rector, Tigran Sahakyan, Head of the International Cooperation Department, Ministry of Education and Science, Mrs. Park Ji Eun, Counsellor, Embassy of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Armenia. The keynote speakers of the event are Mr. Aleksandr Avetisyan, Head of the Department of International Economic Cooperation of the Ministry of Economy, Mr. Lee Yeonho, Professor of the Department of Political Science and International Studies, Yonsei University, Mr. Arsen Ghazaryan, President of the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen (Employers) of Armenia (UMBA) and Mr. Park Hee Soo, professor of the Department of Foreign Languagues, YSLU.

Among foreign guests is Honorary-Consul General of the Republic of Korea to RA Mr. Armen Abrahamyan. The conference will be moderated by Stepan Grigoryan, Chairman of the Analytical Centre on Globalization and Regional Cooperation (ACGRC).
