British Embassy opens book of condolences following Baroness Thatcher death

Following the death on April 8 of the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Baroness Thatcher, and the British Embassy has opened a book of condolence at its premises for those who wish to commemorate Baroness Thatcher’s life.  The book will be open until from 09.00 – 16.30 on Wednesday and Thursday, and from 09.00 – 12.00 on Friday, April 12.

“I was very sad to hear the news of the death of Lady Thatcher. She was a remarkable woman who inspired people throughout the world with her courage and determination. She will be particularly remembered in Armenia for her visit in 1990 when she opened the Lord Byron School in Gyumri in the aftermath of the devastating 1988 earthquake. Our thoughts are with her family at this difficult time,” said John Aves, UK Ambassador to Armenia.
