Thirty heads of state, including Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, attended the inauguration Mass of Pope Francis.
Following the ceremony the Pope received congratulations from the heads of delegation, including Armenian leader Serzh Sargsyan, with whom he talked longer than with other prominent guests, Nouvelles d’Armenie reports.
Ulysse Gosset, who commented the ceremony for BFM TV, said that Armenia had a special place in Christianity, being the first nation who adopted Christianity.
