The Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) is satisfied with election results, Vice-President of the party Galust Sahakyan told reporters today.
He attached special importance to the formation of a new model of opposition, “as the opposition had not been doing anything particular either inside or outside the National Assembly over the past years.”
“All political forces must act on the political field, and this seems to be the case at this point,” the MP said.
“It’s up to every politician or a political team to choose the method of struggle,” Sahakyan said. He added that Raffi Hovhannisyan’s step to go on a hunger strike is unacceptable, but added that Serzh Sargsyan will visit him if necessary.
“We should keep in mind that we are not enemies,” Galust Sahakyan said, adding that “the Republican Party never searches for enemies.”
