Author Matthew Karanian to present the travel guide for Armenia and Karabakh at ALMA

On the occasion of the publication of the third edition of his travel guide for Armenia and Karabakh, author and photographer Matthew Karanian will give a presentation at ALMA on Sunday, March 10, speaking about the creation of the book, with anecdotes from his decade of research and illustrated with photographs from the new guidebook.

Karanian takes the reader off the beaten path with his photographs of ancient sites rarely seen by tourists to environmental treasures such as Shikahogh, Teghut, and Sevan.

Karanian will also present images from the ancient Diasporan community of Jerusalem, a community that will be the subject of his future book. Many of the book’s photographs were created along with co-photographer Robert Kurkjian.
