Armenian to open Embassy in Vatican

The Armenian Government approved at today’s sitting the President’s draft decree on establishing an Embassy of the republic of Armenia in the Holy See (Vatican).

Armenia and Vatican established diplomatic relations in 1992. The Holy See recognized the Armenian Genocide in 2000.

As deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan said, the establishment of the Embassy will signal a new stage in bilateral relations.

Also, the Government approved the draft presidential decree on the establishment of Armenia’s Embassy in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
