Edward Nalbandian had a meeting with the leadership of the Austrian parliament

On February 26, Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian visited the Austrian parliament, where he met with the members of the Parliament and Fritz Neugebauer, second president of the national council.

During the meeting, the sides discussed issues related to the development of the Armenian-Austrian interaction, intensification of ties between the Parliaments of the two countries and the cooperation between the Armenian and Austrian delegations of Parliamentary Assemblies to international organizations. They reached an agreement upon the organization of the visit of an Austria-Armenia Parliamentary Friendship Group to Yerevan.

During the talk the presidential elections in Armenia were touched upon, as well. In this context, the Austrian deputies who were in Armenian to observe elections noted that the elections were conducted in line with international standards.

Upon the request of Austrian deputies Edward Nalbandian presented the efforts undertaken by Armenia and the international community towards the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh issue.

The sides touched upon the cooperation between Armenia and the European Union and reforms in Armenia as well. On the same day Edward Nalbandian gave an interview to the Austrian news agency on Armenia’s foreign policy and reforms implemented in Armenia.
